Celebrating 45 Years of Service with Pooley Removals
We are now celebrating 45 Years of business! We would like you to celebrate with us, whilst we reminisce over the past years. A lot has changed for us over the past years, but one notable change was the retirement of one of our long-standing removal men Pat Last. Pat has worked with us close to 20 years and was very popular with all our customers.
Something that has stayed the same is two recognisable faces who started the business back in 1978, Robin and Jackie Pooley. Robin still carries out our surveys and Jackie works in the office 2 days a week.
A lot happened 45 years ago here are some notable events from 1978:
Celebrities born in 1978
- Michelle Rodriguez – was one of the celebrities born in July 1978 and she is known as the ‘Hollywood Bad Girl’ and she starred in many action films including Fast and Furious. One of the Fast & Furious movies had a scene shot on the same base as Pooley Removals on Bentwaters park, Rendlesham.
- Nicole Scherzinger – This former Pussycat member was also born in 1978. After the girl band Pussycat Dolls broke up Nicole proceeded to become a solo artist and judge on various reality TV shows.
