The Right Packing Options

Packing materials are included in the quotation unless you request otherwise. You can choose whether you want to do your own packing and we will deliver all the materials to you prior to your move; or you can opt for the full packing service, where we will come and pack all the contents of your house the day before you move. Of course, everything you need for your final evening at your property will not be packed away!

Packing services

When you choose to use our full packing service our removal crew will pack all your smaller belongings including books, china, and other personal items. They will be packed into strong, double walled cartons. China and other breakables will be wrapped in hygienic white paper to prevent any risk of breakage. Our removal crews are fully trained and experienced with packing fragile and non-fragile effects.

We can also do part packing services including fragile only packing, or specific room packing i.e. kitchen. This is particularly helpful for people wanting to do part of the packing themselves.

Doing your own packing

If you choose to do your own packing, we have some advice that may help you:

• Pack books in smaller boxes, so that they can still be lifted. Packing them in larger boxes can make them too heavy and impossible to lift.
• Contents of chest of drawers can be left in the drawers if the drawer can be removed.
• We recommend layering the tape on the bottom of the box twice to ensure that the bottom doesn’t fall through.
• Make sure you have completed all your packing before the removal day including pictures and lamps.
• When packing fragiles such as plates and glasses, pack them standing up, this will prevent them from being damaged as easily.
